K2 has been providing Professional Environmental Engineering consulting services for over fourteen years to private industry, commercial and industrial clients, and government agencies. K2 is also certified as a Small Business with the State of Tennessee and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in Tennessee. Federal government certifications through the U.S. Small Business Administration include Small Disadvantaged Business and HUBZone. Primary consulting areas include: ■ RCRA and Non-RCRA Compliance audits at waste and recycling facilities. Audits have been conducted as a third party at facilities currently handling or being considered for the management of various wastes and/or recyclable materials for clients. K2 has also developed evaluation and scoring protocols for various clients to meet their specific waste and recycling risk management needs. ■ Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional services including evaluating an existing building’s sustainable operation and maintenance practices to determine if it meets LEED® Green Building Rating System™ criteria utilizing the U.S. Green Building Council’s certification levels of Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. K2 can assist clients in achieving the required certification credits, which include aspects of site sustainability; water efficiency; energy performance; use of recyclable and renewable materials; and indoor environmental quality. ■ Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and due diligence investigations for property transfers. ■ Asbestos and mold investigations for residential and commercial buildings. ■ Environmental Engineer Expert Witness Testimony.
